The Eureka Mignon Single Dose Pro Chrom is aimed at home baristas who weigh each portion fresh and frequently switch between different beans. Instead of a filled hopper, only the amount actually needed goes into the grinder. This keeps the workflow flexible and makes it particularly interesting for changing roasts, decaf, or parallel espresso experiments. The chrome finish combines this modern single-dose concept with a classic, high-quality appearance.
The grinder uses 65 mm flat burrs and stepless micrometric grind-size adjustment. The large King Size adjustment dial makes finer corrections comfortable, while the Blind Upper Burr design is intended to reduce unnecessary retention. The body, tilted 15 degrees, supports a direct path for the grounds to the outlet. Silent Technology and the ACE System also aim to provide a quieter grinding process with fewer clumps and less static.
To keep retention as low as possible, Eureka combines a newly designed grinding chamber with an anti-retention and blow-up system. After grinding, you can use the bellows to loosen any remaining particles from the grinding chamber and outlet. This is especially important for single dosing, because the pre-weighed amount should end up in the dosing cup as completely as possible. Those who frequently switch between beans benefit from this more than they would with a traditional hopper grinder.
Compared with the Mignon Specialità, the Single Dose Pro deliberately omits a timer and filled hopper. You spend a few extra seconds weighing each shot, but in return gain significantly more control over bean changes and freshness. The chrome version pairs excellently with high-quality stainless steel machines and looks very distinctive despite its compact Mignon base. It is ideal when coffee variety and reproducible portioned grinding matter more than maximum speed in continuous operation.
