The conical burr set measures 48 millimeters externally and 38 millimeters internally and is powered by a 100-watt DC motor. Under load, the grinder operates at approximately 170 revolutions per minute. The grind size is adjusted steplessly, allowing very fine corrections when dialing in espresso. Varia specifies approximately 10 micrometers of relative burr movement per marking, which makes it easier to find your way between recipes.
