Varia VS3 Gen 2 - compact single-dose grinder with 48 mm conical burrs
The Varia VS3 Gen 2 is a compact electric single-dose grinder with 48 mm conical burrs and a stainless steel gear system. Its stepless grind adjustment changes the distance between the burrs in fine increments and covers a wide range for espresso and various filter methods.
The single-dose design is intended to grind only the previously weighed amount of beans. Varia states a measured retention of under 0.1 g with RDT and under 0.2 g without RDT for a 10 g dose; actual values may vary depending on the beans, grind size, and workflow. A 30 g hopper provides sufficient space for typical single portions.
According to the manufacturer, the 100 W DC motor operates at approximately 170 rpm under load. This makes the VS3 Gen 2 suitable for home baristas looking for a space-saving single-dose workflow for changing beans and recipes. In this collection, it is currently available in black, white, and silver.
