Moccamaster KBG Select Polished Silver

The brewing process starts quickly and remains easy to understand even for guests or colleagues without any explanation. The KBG Select brews at 92 to 96 °C and takes approximately six minutes for a full pot. With the Select switch, you can choose between a full and a half pot. For the smaller quantity, the machine adjusts the flow rate so that the contact time does not become too short. This makes it better suited to changing serving sizes than filter machines that always brew at the same speed regardless of the amount of water.

After brewing, the glass carafe sits on a warming plate at approximately 80 to 85 °C. The plate switches off automatically after 40 minutes. This is ideal when the carafe is emptied within a short time at breakfast or during a meeting. For longer holding times, the KBGT with its thermal carafe has a design advantage because it operates without an active warming plate.

Moccamaster manufactures the machine in the Netherlands and relies on a design in which parts can be replaced.
