The Ascaso bottomless portafilter with walnut wood handle makes the underside of the filter visible during extraction. This makes channeling, uneven distribution, and tamping errors easier to identify than with a portafilter with a closed spout.

Ascaso uses 58-mm stainless steel portafilters in its Home Pro and Professional series. The walnut wood handle complements this functional advantage with the characteristic Ascaso wood look.
