The Varia VS6 White combines Varia's most technically sophisticated single-dose platform with a surprisingly bright, homely appearance. It is aimed at users who want to treat grind size, motor speed, and even burr geometry as adjustable parameters in the long term. Despite its white finish, it is not a lightweight compact grinder, but a substantial premium tool for a dedicated coffee setup. Especially alongside light-colored dual boilers or minimalist kitchens, it looks less industrial than the black version.
As standard, the VS6 uses 58-mm Supernova flat burrs made of stainless steel and a 300-watt brushless motor. The speed can be adjusted between 500 and 1,600 revolutions per minute. The stepless grind adjustment is very finely scaled, and according to Varia changes the relative burr position by approximately 5 micrometers per marking. An optional compatible 63-mm conical burr set can be installed, giving the VS6 an unusually broad scope for further development.
Active ionization helps ensure a clean discharge and reduces static effects in the ground coffee. The knocker can also be used to dislodge any remaining particles from the outlet after grinding. The hopper capacity of approximately 80 grams provides sufficient reserve, while the grinder's typical use remains freshly grinding single doses. Its wide RPM range makes the grinder particularly interesting for users who systematically test different roasts and brewing methods.
At around 10.7 kilograms, the VS6 is clearly designed as a stationary premium grinder. Anyone who simply wants to grind two espressos without complications in the morning will find the VS3 or VS4 more economical and space-saving. Those looking for maximum adjustability and a platform that can later be further developed with a different burr set, however, will get significantly more options here. White makes this technically extreme concept especially elegant and suits high-end setups that should not look completely dark.
